La Fête de la K-FOOD
The use of the generic term “Asian cuisine” is sometimes confusing (and even more by “Japanese, Chinese, kebab, pizza” restaurants ;)).
In recent years, the differences between different countries cuisine are becoming clearer, for the general public.
La Fête of K-FOOD is the opportunity to discover Korean cuisine.
[Korean kimchi have been added in 2013 to the UNESCO ‘intangible cultural heritage’ list]
[Restaurant DOMA | Dakgangjeong Crisp fried chicken fried with a sweet and spicy | Fried squid & onions 4 €]
Des démonstrations culinaires | Jeffrey Cagnes
Jeffrey Cagnes [Pâtisserie Stohrer], specially created a recipe for the first cooking demonstration of la Fête de le K-Food.
Under a giant disco ball, Jeffrey Cagnes and Marc Heu making the classic French pastry Paris-Brest …
in a Paris-Seoul version, with white and black sesame.
Unanimously, we preferred this sesame cream to the praline classic version! A delight !!!
Red & Hot
The theme of the 2018 K-Food Party is RED & HOT.
The opportunity to discover original and rare products in France.
They were offered to be tasted by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korean AgroTrade Center.
I love discovering culinary trends and new products.
The teas and drinks made with omija berries [오미자 | hangeul] were very interesting.
The fruit from this medicinal plant of which is called seeds of five flavors. It is energizing and balances the liver and kidneys.
A tea room and tasting area, colorful and relaxing under the beautiful glass roof.
A multitude of street-food stands. Small portions and mini prices to taste and discover different dishes. Awesome !!!
Bar à cocktail coréen
Discovery of the liquor Lee Gang Ju [이강주, a maceration of Korean pear, ginger and turmeric] and the famous rice liquor Makgeolli [막걸리]
Two refreshing creative cocktails: Han River Miracle & Red Jewel by Tae Yeol Ethan Kim | Korean Bartender & Vegetable Sommelier
There are also other activities: traditional games, K-Pop, culinary workshops, photo in Hanbok, traditional costume, contest, children space ….
The calligrapher artist writes the names of the (delighted) visitors on traditional paper.
Calligraphy, one of the six arts for nobles and wise arts.
I love Korean cuisine for its diversity, spices, colors, generosity and friendliness.
La Fête de la K-FOOD is full of discoveries and sensory experiences, in a beautiful place. To live and to taste.
