Pâtisserie Ciel (sky in French) is an angel cake speciality store and a harmonious tea place.
A rainbow of exquisite angel cakes, airy as clouds and devilishly delicious.
They are created by the Japanese pastry chef Hironobu Fukano (former chef at SOLA also meaning sky in Japanese).
I like tasty cakes and sometimes Japanese cakes can be very so light that is lacks consistency…
La pâtisserie Ciel found the perfect balance between airiness of the cake and the savoury cream.
New: Chocolate Hazelnut
Chocolate sponge cake, dark chocolate cream, milk chocolate whipped cream, cocoa powder and caramelized hazelnuts
€ 5 to take-away / 7 € to eat-in
A delight !
The cake is not too strong in cacao. This is usually a default for me, but this cake is just… delectable and not too sweet.
The caramelized hazelnuts adds texture and yumminess.
This delicate feather-light chocolate angel cake is an unguilty pleasure yet dangerously addictive.
Passion fruit sponge cake, mashed bananas, pineapple, red fruit and pink peppercorns jam.
An excellent combination of the passion fruit cake, the soft banana cream and the acidity of the pineapple.
The red berry jam adds sparkles of flavours. Oh la la… A wonder !
Violet sponge cake, blueberry cream, raspberry and lychee jelly, raspberry sauce and blueberry marshmallow.
Light flavours of violet with a berries explosions… Girly and tender tastes.
A lovely and smart packaging design !
