DAD, the French style hot dogs, opens its first restaurant in the Fashion and Design City.
DAD, les hot dogs (non, non, ne pas faire le coup du chien chaud…) à la française, ouvre son premier restaurant à la Cité de la Mode et du Design.
DAD recalls the modern father who makes you confort food but with his own twist.
The place is as stylish as its frame. If the idea of pallets and cousins seem amusing but somewhat easy, it is a temporary setting, which is rather nice. The final seats will be made of wood with a geometrical, construction game style.
The concept: Choose your sausage, toppings, sauce and sides.
The bread is made by Maison Santrot, Best Craftsman of France and toasted to order. It is not as soft as a US hot dog bread but more like a brioche.
The 3 sausages are created for DAD by the artisan butcher, Maison Thielen and cooked in bain-marie.
Pork, bacon, cheddar | My favorite ! Classic with a twist.
Beef, mustard seeds, herbs | The most original and tasty. A rare hot dog with seasoned beef.
Farm chicken, tomato confit, goat cheese | Association of interesting flavors.
*There is also 1 vegetarian, with seitan.
@monsieur_kodakbear was advised to take all the toppings: arugula, cherry tomato, pickles, fried onions, pickled onions. => Great !
The sauces are too delicious, nearly stealing the show from the sausage 🙂 !
A crush on BBQ whisky with the hot-dog and the wasabi mayonnaise with the fries.
Oreo or salted butter caramel cookies are home-made
