Their love of Japan made them start a company importing new, original rare and quality products from Japan.
Umami Matcha Café
Umami Matcha Café is a tea and coffee shop where you can have breakfast, healthy lunch with quality seasonnal food or a relaxing tea time.
The shop has a shopping area with rare, quality Japanese groceries products, hard to find in France.

I found the matcha cortado slightly lacking flavors. After investigation, I was answered that the dose of matcha has been adapted to the European tastes to soften the bitterness of the tea.
I am very impressed but the selection of organic teas. During my last trip in Kyoto, organic products were not that easy to find.
Here is a Matcha shot (hot water and tea only), for a bodied Matcha taste.
The food is fresh with seasonal products and Japanese seasonings.
Ideal to taste and learn about Japanese tea and products in a friendly way . Here, purified water with charcoal.
A charming place to discover and follow (coming of evening events: sake tasting, conferences, culinary workshop …)
Un charmant lieu à découvrir absolument et à suivre (à venir des événements en soirée: dégustation de saké, conférence, atelier culinaire…)
