Café de Jaren – Amsterdam

Café de Jaren is a place where it is nice to come relax when you just arrive in Amsterdam. It is open daily at all time for coffee, tea and light lunch (simple dishes and a fresh salad buffet).

 

In the evening, opens a restaurant, a bar and the atmosphere gets a little more club during the weekend. 

I mostly prefer the quality of the dishes to nice places but here the space is really attractive. 

 

   

 

On the second floor, you can relax on a magnificent terrace or balcony along the banks of the canal or studious (there is a reading corner). Meals and drinks are simple and with a correct quality/price. 

Next time, I would like to test the concept of High Tea, a gigantic tea time composed of scones, chocolates, cakes, eggs, salmon and of course tea and coffee?

 

 

 

 

Small precision, I have not tested the coffee which was IllyCaffè. This white coffee is nice to discover… “White” in contrast to more “Brown” coffee shops for evening birds with other kind of drinks. 

   

 

 

Café de Jaren est le lieu où il est agréable de venir se détendre et se restaurer en arrivant à Amsterdam. Ouvert tous les jours et en service continue, c’est un lieu qui fait café, thé et déjeuner léger (plats simple et buffet frais de salade).    

 

 

Les plats et les boissons sont simples et d’un rapport/qualité prix correct.

Petite précision, je n’ai pas testé le café qui était du IllyCafè.

       

 

 

 

 

Ce café blanc est agréable à découvrir… Café qu’on appelle blanc en contraste au coffee shop plus “brun” avec d’autres sortes de consommation.
